Showing

I swore when I sold my event horse that I was finished with horse shows -- the expense, the stress, the time required, etc.  Having already joined the Tri-State Miniature Horse Club when I purchased my Minis, I decided to spectate at their AMHA show and was amazed how relaxed and easy the whole atmosphere was.  Relatively comfortable show clothes, no dressage test to memorize, no huge attitudes, but lots of family involvement, assistance and encouragement from fellow competitors, what a change!  We still go to only three shows per year.  If we can't get to a show and back home in the same day we don't go, so we're presently limited to one AMHA show, one AMHR show, and one fun show at the Geauga County Fair.  I show just enough to get myself and our horses out there for exposure and experience.  I'd really rather be at home with the herd!

We save ribbons and have show records available for all of our show horses.
